TownePlace Suites by Marriott Merced

Good place to stay. It is in a decent location. There is ample parking. However, there are no closets to hang your clothes in.

Stayed here a couple of weeks ago and remembered I needed to do a review. The rooms were spacious with good amenities. We had a hiccup of the center table with lamp and plugs not working. That being said, we called the front desk and Alejandra got us settled into another room right away. She first verified that all was well with the room before she moved us. The beds are super comfy! Then came the next day, breakfast at Townplace Suites is no ordinary breakfast. Kit, the very nice lady taking care of the breakfast area, was on point making sure everything was clean, that there were plenty of options, and super friendly and helpful. I felt I was at a good breakfast restaurant not a hotel. One big point I want to say... the gravy with the sausage breakfast sandwiches, OMG, so delicious! Needless to say, we will be staying here everytime we are in Merced. Thank you Alejandra and Kit for a lovely stay.

These rooms are larger than a typical hotel room and offer a small mini kitchen, perfect for a multi day stay. Free breakfast has the good stuff, like real oatmeal and cage free scrambled eggs. Large lobby as well. Staff was friendly and efficient! Easy location to get on and off expressway

The place is almost like a small apartment. Complete and very clean rooms. I am impressed with services and the breakfast is amazing too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had such an amazing day at TownePlace Suites Merced! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel so welcome. AJ was absolutely incredible, going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The engineer was also so helpful and friendly, and the front desk staff are truly phenomenal—always greeting me with a smile and making me feel right at home. The hospitality here is unmatched, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Thank you to the whole team for making my stay so wonderful!

Easy location. These folks really helped me out. I was on a road trip, exhausted, not feeling well, and no reservation. I walked in at 6 AM and they got me a beautiful room immediately. No muss, no fuss, just rest. Thank you!!!

I was planning a longer visit to town, so I thought I’d try TownePlace. Usually, I stay at the Marriott Courtyard, but since I’d be here for a few days, I wanted to make the most of the kitchen. When I arrived, Evelyn was so welcoming and took care of my check-in. She also gave me a rundown of all the hotel’s features. My room was spotless and tidy, and there were extra towels, just like I asked for in the app—thank you, Luz! The gym is great and open 24/7, so I could get my workouts in during the mornings. The breakfast was also delicious. Thank you, Kit. The area was well-kept, and she even helped me with the waffle maker. As someone who doesn’t eat pork, I was hoping for a turkey or beef option for the sausage. That’s my only gripe. One evening, I went to the lobby to grab some snacks and met Stephanie, I think that was her name was. We chatted for a bit, and she even suggested an ice cream cup snack, which was fantastic! Our conversation went so well. She was such a lovely person to talk with. The postcard with the QR code to tip the staff is a nice touch, and I made sure to tip everyone I met. I didn’t see Stephanie on the list, though. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable. Keep being such wonderful people!

Easy access to freeway and small local conveniences. Needed a one-night stay. Staff were friendly. Our room had a musky smell. Our TV needed to be hooked up but maintenance quickly assisted. Next morning we found out the bathrooms outlets didn’t work which made it a challenge to get ready. Let the front desk know upon checking out.
